The innovative structure, intended to advance floating Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) technology in regions prone to severe weather, is set to commence fabrication this March. It comprises three primary components: a cylindrical hull, a cold-water riser pipe, and a gimbal connection point. The 15 prototypes will be assembled and installed at the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN).
