A group consisting of approximately 50 upi apps has reportedly requested npci to provide incentives for them to compete against phonepe, google pay, and paytm. This matter was discussed during a meeting between npci and entities such as amazon pay, slice, and jupiter, as reported by moneycontrol. Smaller players expressed concerns about their limited budgets for offering cashback and other rewards.
