For the inaugural occurrence, a group of electrical engineers at KAUST has successfully manufactured immaculate red LEDs derived from nitride crystals. Conventionally, Gallium nitrate serves as the foundation for crafting blue and green LED variants. As of now, scholars have innovated a technique for producing red LEDs featuring an unadulterated red shade through the integration of excess indium vapor positioned above the crystal's surface.
